Driving the Future of Vehicle Safety: Our Visit to the CIRT-IDTRS Workshop

At NT Power Systems, innovation and safety are at the core of everything we do. On December 14, 2024, we had the privilege of attending the One-Day Vehicle Safety Workshop organized by the Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT) and the Institute of Driving Training and Research Society (IDTRS) in Pune. The event was packed with insightful sessions led by some of the industry’s brightest minds, shedding light on the advancements and challenges in vehicle safety and mobility.
Workshop Highlights
The day-long workshop covered a variety of essential topics, ranging from advanced driver assistance systems to EV innovations. Here’s a closer look at what we learned:

  1. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

    Mr. Joshi delivered a comprehensive overview of ADAS, breaking down its various levels, key specifications, and use cases. He emphasized how ADAS enhances driver awareness, reduces accidents, and aligns with global safety standards. This session was a reminder of how technology is shaping a safer driving experience for all.

  2.  BS6 Emission Norms

    With the shift to cleaner emissions, Mr. Desai provided valuable insights into the implementation and benefits of BS6 standards. His session focused on how these norms contribute to a greener, more sustainable future for transportation.

  3. Introduction to Electric Vehicles (EVs)

  4. Active and Passive Safety Systems

    Mr. Kadam’s session was a deep dive into safety systems that protect vehicle occupants and pedestrians. From airbags to advanced braking systems, he explained how active and passive measures work together to reduce injuries and fatalities.
  5. Fire Safety in Vehicles

  6. Virtual First Aid

    This hands-on session demonstrated how quick and effective first aid can save lives during road emergencies. From handling minor injuries to managing critical scenarios, the session was both educational and empowering.

We also got an opportunity to demonstrate our product and create awareness regarding EV Innovations and Technologies. These experiences offered valuable insights into the tools and processes that drive innovation in the automotive industry.
